Soft fruit growing: Educational visits for primary schools
|
Following on last years success and the big drive nationwide to
improve our childrens' perception of eating fresh fruit and
vegetables. We extended our invitation to all schools in the
area to book a 1 hour slot to visit us, learn about the general workings
of a fruit farm, the growing
of soft fruit and in particular strawberries, sample the
different varieties and pick for themselves a punnet to take
home. There is ample parking for school buses, cars etc and the
area is very safe and child friendly.
If you are interested in
booking for this season please email us.

WINTER - Christmas Trees |
Stonepitts Farm is a favourite destination for buying
your family's quality traditional Christmas Tree. Our
trees will be available from late November, when you can visit
Stonepitts farm and choose a tree from our
range of quality Christmas Trees.
For the last eleven years we have donated an amount for every tree sold to a
charity which has included Guide Dogs for the Blind, Scope, Crossroads for
Carers and Demelza House to whom we gave £1,100 last year.
 |
Demelza currently cares for over 400 children and
families of children with life-limiting conditions,
throughout Kent, East Sussex and South London.
"We are delighted that Stonepitts Farm are continuing
to support us through the sale of their Christmas trees as
this kind of community support makes a vital difference to
our work"
Janis Dear, Community Fundraising Manager
